WELCOME TO YOUR NEW HOME IN COBBLESTONE!
 
Here is information that may help you navigate becoming a participating member of Cobblestone.  Please refer to the By-laws and Rules and Regulations for further clarification.  These can be read and downloaded here.

HOW TO GET KEYS FOR YOUR MAILBOX OR THE POOL:
If you did not receive either of these keys at your home sale closing, you can contact your realtor, who can get the keys from the previous owner.  If this does not work, please contact our Community Manager.
 
DUES: 
The dues are payable by check by the 10th of the month, made out to Cobblestone Owners Association. An automatic withdrawal (ACH) from your bank account on the 5th of the month is also an option, by requesting the paperwork from West Property Management, LLC.
 
RENTING:
You are not allowed to rent your unit; homes are to remain owner occupied. You can find out more about this in the Cobblestone Owner’s Association by-laws and regulations.
 
GARBAGE AND RECYCLING SERVICE:
Trash will be picked up once a week, on Monday.  Your blue container may be put out after 6:00 p.m., Sunday. Your recycling will be picked up every two weeks.  Follow the information found on the sticker on the top of your green bin.  You can find more information in Rules and Regulations, section 6.  Please move containers out-of-view as soon as possible, after pick-up.
 
PETS:
The rules for owning pets can be found in the Rules and Regulations, section VIII.  
 
PARKING:
Cars are to be kept in your garage or parked nearby in a guest parking.  However, the guest parking provided in each phase is only for temporary parking for residents and designated for guests. Garage doors need to be closed but may be left open 2-3 feet for circulation. Parking is not allowed on streets, sidewalks, or lawns, and not allowed to be left in common parking for more than 72 hours without being moved.  More information is found in section II in Rules and Regulations.
 
SPEED LIMIT:
The speed limit is 15 miles per hour.
 
GUIDE FOR MAKING CHANGES: 
Residents are responsible for their units from the studs in, doors, garage door, windows, decks, and outside the area within your lot, such as: flowers, landscaping bushes and trees.  When making outdoor changes, contact the Board Director who will consult with the Architectural Committee concerning feasibility of the request. Consult article XI under Architectural and Grounds Control.

Electric and gas: MidAmerican Energy is our utility provider. You can set up service at MidAmericanEnergy.com or by calling 1-888-427-5632. A deposit may be required.
Water and sewer: Water service is billed to each unit and provided by Urbandale Water Utility. Set up service at urbandalewater.org or by calling 515-278-3940. A deposit may be required.

INSURANCE:
You are responsible for insuring your unit from the studs in, but part of your dues are used to pay for insurance to cover the exterior from the studs out.

The Urbandale chamber of commerce has over 725 members and works closely with the City of Urbandale.  Residents are encouraged to Shop Local.  You can find local businesses at www.centraliowa.ShopWhereILive.com.
